Excuse me for being an enthusiastic nationalist, but I had to tell you about the good news in sports today. Preparing for the winter Olympics in Torino, Italia this year (23 days left) the Norwegians gets crazier every day. This weekend has been a tremendous example of what we can wait from the Vikings. We grabbed the hegemony in speed skating back from the Netherlands at our national arena in Hamar by winning the 5 000 and the 10 000 meter.

Adding to that, we gained the Word Championship in Ski jump for teams, the first place in Biathlon in Ruhpholding by Andresen and the second place in Alpine Skiing at Wengen by Aamodt. No wonder it was a great weekend for the Vikings.

My “home countries” are Australia, Denmark and England. None of them will probably excel in the winter olympics, so I’ll cheer for Norway (I’m quarter swede, but swedes are evil! :-)
