The message of over 200 000 Norwegians in Oslo showed their love and support this evening: With torches and roses, we give the world a message. We do not let the fear break us!

This tragedy has also brought the people of Norway together. Today hundreds of thousands, maybe millions streamed out into public areas to show their support for those who have lost loved ones and to show that we will meet this challenge with love and a greater strength than anyone could imagine.

Many of you will recognise Oslo City Hall, here it is with over 200,000 people bearing torches and roses to show their solidarity. It brings hope of a strong and peaceful world which will not be afraid no matter what challenges we face.

Thank you for all the kind thoughts and support which has been pouring in to my blog and facebook account. I really feel the support of my friends all over the world. Let me end with a quote from one of the survivors of the massacre: “If one man can show so much hate, think how much love we can show together

  1. You are all in our thoughts and prayers – thank you for sharing this photo with us …

  2. Renny,

I extend my sincere condolences to you and all citizens of Norway who may read this. My heart goes out especially to the families who lost loved ones in this senseless evil tragedy. May God hold you and all Norwegians in his healing grace. We remember Norway in our personal and public prayers.

  3. It came as a shock to me. It was really a very sad and shocking incidence. Oslo is a very peaceful city and this incidence came as an eye opener that we are not safe anywhere. All my condolences are with the vicitims and their families.

  4. ” Little peaceful Norway show the world how to handle situations like this. Right now I would rank Norway as the largest country in the world. I have never seen anything like it”

    – Barack Obama-

That just says it all :-)

  5. A woman I sold a puppy to studied in Oslo for a year. She told me that a more loving group of people she has never met! She was overwhelmed with sadness, and has struggled with the question…WHY? Sometimes there is no why. But the way Norwegians are handling it, shows their courage and spirit!

  6. I have many Norwegian friends and you wouldn’t expect anything like this could happen in Norway.

  7. Renny all this is so sad and at the same time it is good to see how your wonderful country reacts – by uniting in solidarity and against violence. I remember well the City Hall from last year great Blog Gathering and wish I could join everyone marching there. My deepest condolences go to your grieving people.

  8. This message of love is the answer to the hate against humans. If all lands around the world could react like Norway and send love, the face of the world would change. “”

  9. Its tough time for the people of Norway. But their unity shows that they are with each during tough time and supports each other and together fight against the evils
